IUFoST Expo 2010

From 22 - 26 August 2010 both academic and commercial food scientists and technologists from all over the world will meet and network at the CTICC. As part of the Congress SAAFoST will hold a trade exhibition for both local and international suppliers to the food industry.

Upward Spiral, together with SAAFoST President Rosie Maguire, are finalising the floor plan and are already taking bookings for this exciting event. So book your stand now - location, location, location! Sue Gannon of Upward Spiral, known to SAAFOST members for her involvement with the Stellenbosch Conference in 2005, says "we really want to put on an expo to showcase South African products and expertise as well as featuring international exhibitors highlighting world trends. The expo will incorporate South African themed food courts and we are actively seeking sponsorships for these key areas within the exhibition".

"SAAFoST is excited to be hosting the first World Congress of Food Science and Technology to be held in Africa. This will be a unique opportunity for South African suppliers to demonstrate their products on a global platform as well as for international players to exhibit their products to the African market place. The 14th congress, held in Shanghai last October attracted over 2000 delegates and our goal is to match, or better, this attendance. The exhibition will also be open to members of the trade not attending the conference." says Maguire.
