The South African Association for Food Science and Technology (SAAFoST) is pleased and proud to have been awarded the opportunity to host the 15th World Congress of Food Science and Technology under the auspices of the International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST). The Congress will be held from 22nd - 26th August 2010 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

Although 2010 is still a long time away, and there will be an IUFoST Congress in Shanghai in 2008 in the interim, we invite all members of the global food science and technology community to diarise these dates and make every effort to join us in Cape Town.

It is our intention to make the 2010 IUFoST Congress an event that combines high quality scientific content with the opportunity to meet and network in a world class venue - Cape Town is now one of the world's most sought after meeting and tourist destinations, and the International Convention Centre, in the heart of the city and close to such world famous tourist attractions as Table Mountain and the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, is one of the finest and best equipped conference centres in the world.
