Registration Information

How to Register

To register for the 15th IUFoST World Congress of Food Science & Technology in Cape Town, please visit the congress website: www.iufost2010.org.za/registration.asp or complete the enclosed registration form and return, to the Congress Secretariat.

Pre-registration via the website will not be possible after 15th August 2010. After this date only on-site registration will be accepted. It is essential that the instructions for payment of all fees involved are strictly followed. Every participant, including invited participants and accompanying persons, must be registered.

Payment

Registration fees are to be paid in South African Rands (ZAR), and should be paid according to the procedure described on the registration form.

* SAAFoST members: To qualify, Members must have paid the SAAFoST membership fee for 2010.

** Other Africa Region Non-SAAFoST Members - must confirm their citizenship and work status within Africa. N.B. Citizens of African countries working outside Africa do NOT qualify for this rate and must pay the full International Delegate rate.

*** Students: To qualify for the Student rate, you must send documentary proof that you are in full time study at a recognised educational institution and this must accompany your registration form. If you are employed you do not qualify for a student rate.

What does the Registration Fee Cover?

Participants:
Admission to the Scientific Programme, Exhibition, Satellite Symposia (excluding the Soy Symposium for which an additional registration fee is payable), Abstract Book, Congress Bag, Final Programme, Certificate of Attendance, Light Lunches, Tea/Coffee Breaks, Opening Ceremony and Welcome Cocktail Party.

Accompanying persons:
Admission to the Opening Ceremony, Welcome Cocktail Party, Light Lunches, Tea/Coffee, an ethnic patterned Shopping Bag and a Cape Town Orientation Tour on 24 August 2010, from 08:30 - 13:00.

Day Registration:
The 1-day option is for South African residents only. Both SAAFoST and non-SAAFoST members will be eligible. The registration fee is applicable for each of the 4 days.
Includes: admission to the Scientific Programme and Exhibition on the selected day, a copy of the Final Programme, a Certificate of Attendance and Tea /Coffee breaks.
Excludes: Congress Bag, Abstract Book, lunch, Social Functions.

NB: Day Registration name badges are valid only for the individual person to whom they are issued and for specific date imprinted thereon. They are not transferable and not exchangeable and may not be used as company passes.

What is not included in the Registration Fee?

Attendance at casual social functions on August 23rd
Attendance at the Congress banquet on August 25th
Transport to & from Cape Town Airport
Special catering requirements
Any other items not mentioned above.

Cancellation of Registration and Refund Policy

The Congress Secretariat must be notified in writing of any cancellations. All approved refunds will be issued after the Congress. An administration fee of ZAR300 will be charged for all cancellations received before 31 May 2010. Please note that no refunds will be made for cancellations after 31 May 2010.

Trade Show

A trade show for both local and international suppliers to the food industry will take place on Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th August between 09:30 and 17:30 and on Wednesday 25th August, between 09:00 and 16:00.
