Tour Itinerary:
Travel east from the City centre to Epping 1 along the N2, a 20-30 minute journey. On arrival at the research centre, you will be met by the host site guides who will take you on a tour of the laboratories, lasting two hours followed by refreshments.

Nampak Ltd is Africa's largest and most diverse packaging manufacturer for food, beverages, and other household and consumer goods. It has manufacturing sites throughout Africa, in the United Kingdom and Europe.

The Research Centre, in existence for over 60 years, is not only involved in packaging development, but also in technical support to Nampak plants, converting plastics, metal, glass, board, paper and laminates. Uniquely, in South Africa, it offers customer support in food technology, food chemistry and microbiology. Experienced staff work closely with the customer's own technical staff on site. It also co-operates with other Industry and Government bodies to secure South Africa's reputation for quality, safe food for local and export markets.
